A massively hot day in Baltimore. Cecil stands on a pier in the Chesapeake Bay.
Looking back towards the festival grounds.
We head south to Wilmington, NC, for our next show. A couple of days are spent on Wrightsville Beach collecting sunlight for the wintertime.

Lots of sun and festivities lead to impromptu naps later in the afternoon.
The morning after our Wilmington show we head to Charlotte, NC.
We had a blast at the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC. Below are our good friends T-Rey and Ana Paula hanging out with us after the show. Ana Paula is headed back home (Brazil) this month. Safe travels!
Rayna Gellert joins up for a show in Chattanooga, TN, and Birmingham, AL. Here we are at a 24hr diner after the Chattanooga show.
It was our first time seeing The Flaming Lips. Their show, as you may already know, is completely insane! Radness.
This is by far, without doubt, no question about it, the best highwayside hotel pool of all time (or at least in the top 3). This is somewhere in northern Florida. From the outside of the hotel you have no idea that inside is a mega-waterpark-playland.
After a wildly fun night in Gainesville we end up at Fast Eddie's for a sunrise breakfast sandwich. Thanks to all the folks in Florida who made every night in the Sunshine State ridiculously fun.
Sleepy and hungry, we wait for egg and cheese biscuits, iced tea, etc...
From Florida we head to Athens, GA.
Spain vs. Russia in the Eurocup Finals. Thanks to Scott Orville at The Georgia Theatre for facilitating a pre-soundcheck viewing of the match. Spain went on to win the whole tournament! Viva España!
The Asheville Civic Center. Site of the 1st Annual Vortex Music Festival. We had a blast playing in Asheville, sharing the stage with Weedie Braimah, Rayna Gellert, Jack Devreau, and all of the other fellow Asheville band/peoples.
Rayna in Charleston, SC, during soundcheck.
This is her secret stage signal to Greg Tracy, who is running the monitor board, to turn the fiddle up.
Cecil under the bright lights, pondering something or another.
We head back to Asheville for a couple days of rest before we head to Alaska.
